A RAINBOW

A rainbow is an arch of colors that appears when the sun shines through rain.

Try another tactile exercise to illustrate the colors of a rainbow. Use colored candies or colored cereal to create a 3-D rainbow. You can make a rainbow by shining a light through water.

What you need:

• sheet of white paper, folded in half
• clear glass half-filled with water
• flashlight

What to do:

• in a dark room, stand the paper a few inches behind the glass.
• turn on the flashlight and shine it through the water onto the paper.
