LEGO
Play to learn

Play! Although it might look like a lot of messing around, they're actually studying really hard. Their playful learning comes in many guises, helping to establish a multitude of skills...

Playing with LEGO sets help improve the fine motor skills needed for controlling a pencil.

HOW? WHAT? WHY?
Exploratory play, encompassing each of the five senses, help to deepen your child's understanding of the world. They'll be full of questions as they play, but be sure to pose some back too, because preschoolers delight in sharing their own theories.

ON REPEAT
Ever noticed your little one carrying out the same task over and over? It's all part of observation, experimentation and understanding cause and effect. That's why towers are carefully constructed only to be immediately - and gleefully - knocked back down!

ACTING OUT
It's adorable when you spy your little one tottering around in your shoes, but they're actually being quite serious! By creating characters, whether it's through costume or by voicing LEGO figures, your child can process big feelings, develop empathy and, ultimately, understand who they are.

SURPRISE!
Unstructured play pops up unexpectedly, using whatever comes to hand! It's highly significant because it's most often led by your child, providing an insight into what make them tick. This type of play has no restrictions or time limits, allowing their imagination the space of flourish.
