Experimentation involves observing, questioning, and sharing. The point of these activities for children is to observe what happens when a plant receives water and light and what happen when it doesn't. Ask the child to predict what will happen to each plant. Making predictions is an important part of experimentation. Comparing results to predictions and discussing the experiment's outcome are also key activities.
